On Sept 14th, 2017, I had a studio visit with textile artist Carole Sabiston, and was delighted by her paintings, brightly lit studio, and walls which featured images of the universe and ideas to explore. Most interesting were never-seen-before, and deeply personal daily portraits (circa 1997, 1998, 2003) drawn in coloured pencils inside pocket-sized notebooks.
