I thought this a bit premature, ’cause I’ve only been painting on the ground for about 18 months.
But then Tony explained I was mentioned as having helped another artist with their marketing.
Several years ago, my company Star Global (retired) used to work on her website, and I recommended she use Constant Contact as an easy email marketing system.
I bought copy of the book today, and look forward to reading all the tips and case studies, especially the section and interview with the fabo Kristine Paton!
Editors Note: When ya have a freaky spelling of yer name - after a while, you just give up.
But for anyone who cares - Carollyne is spelled with two LL’s, as in HELL, and one N as in HEAVEN.

I received an email a few weeks ago from a lovely lady named Shanice Wolters, a Journalism and History of Art student at the University of Victoria.
She wrote to me, and said,
“I became fascinated with your work early last year, and have admired it vastly since. As a final project for my Journalism course I am to write and sell a profile on a person who interests me. I was hoping to write about your work and career in the art industry.”
I was like, HOLY MOLY - A FAN!
Needless to say, I was very honored, and happy to provide an interview.
My work is available for viewing and sale there, and a having recently sold piece, it was the perfect spot for a photo shoot.
Many thanks again to Shanice for the opportunity to talk about my artwork - I wish you the very best of success in your career, and I know we will cross paths again in the art world!

I love the folks at Art Box Victoria, they take care of all my print needs from art cards to giclee reproductions, Victoria, BC
And they love Robot Squirrel!
They decorated their print shop on Douglas Street as a gigantic giclee reproduction of Robot Squirrel hanging on the wall next to prints by Duncan Regehr, Marty Machacek, and Sandy Terry.
Bart Koubaa, De Brooklynclub, Querido Publishing (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Carollyne Yardley art (published March 2012)
I was contacted in September 2011 by Gaia on behalf of Querido, a Dutch publishing company.
One of their authors named Bart Koubaa requested the use of one my paintings titled, Steam Punk Squirrel, to be on the cover of his book.
Um - shout out to Bart - THANK YOU + A BIG SQUIRREL SMOOCH.
I’m not sure if you are supposed to conduct yourself in such matters, but I am very excited to see it in print!
My copy of the book arrived today - see pics below along with website links and press releases.

Fresh on the heels of The Dovekeeper, comes this one called Morning Glory. I was going to call it something a bit more rude, but my good friend and photographer Jen Steele, came up with this moniker instead. Much more family friendly.
Morning Glory, 22 X 26, Oil on Board, Carollyne Yardley, 2012
I had a dream about this painting on the evening of my last art show called Never Dine Alone. A girl standing in a birdsnest with long wings. The hat and the dove were additional embellishments from my conscious mind. This painting incorporates another level of hybrid in my imaginary world. This squirrel girl has long blue wings, a squirrel face and is holding a dove. Fancy hats, or headgear of some sort are becoming a staple of my character portraits. Here is a link to the underpainting in black and white. This painting is part of a new series, and there are “wings” in all of them so far. I will post more as they are in progress or completion. The next painting from this series is called Morning Glory.

Don’t have any more wall space?! You just need a flat surface for this little gem. Great for your coffee table or antique buffet.
