Best 2 Dimensional | Sooke Fine Art Show 2012 | The Dovekeeper
Thank you to the jurors and the Sooke Fine Art Show 2012. They received 1300 entries from 600 artists who applied this year, apparently more applications than ever recorded in the 26 year history. First thrill, was to have three of my pieces accepted.
You can only imagine how excited  I was to receive an award for Best 2 Dimensional for The Dovekeeper (along with Johannes Landman, 2 awards in this category because there is such a high volume of 2D work).
Twelve awards were handed out along with 5 Honorable Mentions: Best 2 Dimensional x 2, 3 Dimensional, Photography, Glass or Ceramic, Jewellery, Fibre, Mixed Media, 3 Juror’s Choice, Jan Johnson Memorial Award.
Shout out to Leonard Butt (Best 3 Dimensional), and the lovely Samantha Dickie xoxo (Best Glass or Ceramic). So great to connect and see you both there.
