Victoria’s David Goatley is one of a handful of artists being considered to paint an official portrait of the Queen to celebrate the 60th year of her reign in 2012.
Goatley, who has painted headmasters and chancellors, New York firefighters, captains of industry, First Nations chiefs, folk singers and even a prime minister, was recently asked to submit a portfolio of six works to the federal government.
