It was in the making over 6 months, but finally Selfie Squirrel makes it’s debut to the “in progress” state.
What is a selfie you ask?
A selfie is a genre of self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. Selfies are often associated with social networking and photo sharingservices such as MySpace, Facebook, and Instagram, where they are commonly posted. They are often casual, are typically taken either with a camera held at arm’s length or in a mirror, and may include only the photographer or other people as well.
On Facebook, many people, and I mean many people, take selfies. And so there creates a reason to judge who has the best selfie of them all.
Collectively speaking, hyperrealistic 3D artist Alex McLeod wins for populating my social media feeds with the best quality selfies. This is because of his pompadour hairdo, and love of everything that glitters with gold. Between stylish and mock-rocking ridiculous and awesome, this is a man who lives to strike-a-pose-style all of his own. I’ve watched his selfies and his cell phone camera cases go through their paces, a variety of Hello Kitty phone cases from rainbow to gold and diamond studded. A perfect selfie to me includes actually seeing the camera device covering your face, making it a perfect Secret Squirrel. Alex McLeod does many versions of a selfie, but I like the ones where he keeps the cell phone camera out front the best. The one inspired for this painting was actually a “fake” selfie taken by Alex’s friend Leah Muse. Apparently, they are the best ones.
Oh, and my first and only posted selfie of myselfie.
