Just posting latest development of Saint Squirrel (with Red Shoes name to be determined). He’s coming along nicely. Still much more work to do. Quite a few changes since last post.

Great squirels — love the shoes the crown looks to bea little big!
monument men—Love the book but can’t read it yet. Can’t pry it out of marys hands
Love this painting – his crown is too big. Adore the ballet shoes. But I especially like the that he’s balanced on a Grecian column – so I can’t figure out is he’s really a saint or just performing. Think the acorn motif works really well too.
Thanks Xine,
He has a very big job to do, but he’s not sure if he’s old enough, or experienced enough to be in the role (crown to big), he’s always performing and on stage (shoes on coloum), and he lives in a world of long held belief systems (the stone arch). The final title of the painting will emerge at the end. The colours in the background have changed since the last post. I’m going to take it outside and paint in the daylight to mesh colours together too.
Thanks for the comments, he’s such a cute squirrel!
Thanks Daryl,
Hi Daryl!
He has a very big job to do, but he’s not sure if he’s old enough, or experienced enough to be in the role (crown to big). I’m going to take him outside and paint the rest in daylight to match some colours up better.
Let me know once you’ve had a chance to read Monument Men – I really know you’re going to love it. Say hi to Mary from both LG and I.
Thanks for the comments Daryl, talk soon! Carollyne xo
